PAIA Manual — Marloth Park Central

Information Regulator PAIA guide and forms

The Information Regulator publishes the current PAIA guide, private-body manual material and request forms. See Information Regulator — PAIA and PAIA forms. A request for access to a record is ordinarily made using the current Form 2 process where applicable.

Subjects and categories of records MPC may hold

• Website, software, content, editorial, route, wildlife, map and technical records.
• Business listing, supplier-supplied and business-intake records.
• Marlotii Safari House and other enquiry/support records.
• MPC Kidz game/content and parent-support records.
• Marloth Companion operational, My Stay and visitor-support records where applicable.
• Visitor Help review submissions, consent and moderation records.
• Historical records/access records retained privately where lawfully required from older MPC services.
• Accounting, tax, contractual, intellectual-property, security, backup, correspondence and compliance records where applicable.

Automatically available information

Public website pages, published legal notices and other information intentionally made public on marlothparkcentral.com can be accessed without a PAIA request. Ordinary business discovery is provided through MPC Map; public business discovery does not expose private MPC records.

Records held under other legislation

Where applicable to MPC's operations, records may also be created or retained to meet South African legal duties relating to tax and accounting, privacy and access to information, electronic communications, consumer matters, intellectual property, contracts and employment. The exact record set depends on which duties apply at the relevant time.

POPIA processing information

MPC processes personal information for defined purposes such as responding to enquiries, providing visitor-requested features, moderating Visitor Help reviews, protecting the service, maintaining lawful business records and handling privacy or access requests. Data subjects may include visitors, enquirers, business contacts, accommodation contacts, reviewers, contractors and other people who communicate with MPC. Recipients may include authorised MPC personnel and hosting, database, email, analytics/security or professional service providers where needed for the relevant purpose.

Cross-border processing and security

Some technology providers may process information outside South Africa. MPC uses appropriate service, contractual and technical safeguards according to the purpose and applicable law. MPC applies reasonable technical and organisational measures such as restricted administration access, access controls, validation, encrypted transport, private storage and security monitoring.

How to request a non-public record

Identify the requested record, the requester, the preferred form of access, a contact method and the right the requester seeks to exercise or protect where PAIA requires that explanation. Proof of identity or authority may be required before personal or confidential records are released. Applicable statutory request procedures and lawful grounds for refusal or redaction remain in force.

Complaints

If a requester is dissatisfied with the handling of an access matter, complaint or review mechanisms through South Africa's Information Regulator or the courts remain available under applicable law. The Information Regulator's current PAIA pages provide the complaint forms and process.
