First-time visitor guide
First time in Marloth Park and Kruger? Start here.
This visitor planning guide is available to view on Marloth Park Central. Read it on site for arrival, first-night, Kruger timing, family comfort and safe turn-back guidance. No file required.
Arrival planning
Before you arrive
- Confirm accommodation address, arrival time, gate access and host contact.
- Save online maps for Marloth Park, Komatipoort, Malalane, Crocodile Bridge and Malelane Gate.
- Collect first-night basics before entering Marloth Park: water, groceries, wood, snacks and breakfast items.
Kruger first day
Keep the first Kruger day sensible.
- Choose one realistic first route instead of trying to cover every road.
- Check official SANParks gate times, entry rules, details and permit requirements before departure.
- Set a safe turn-back time before sightings, heat or slow roads make the return rushed.
Family comfort
Plan for a slower, easier day.
- Pack snacks, water, hats, sunscreen, wipes, bags and medication.
- Keep routes shorter for children, heat, bathrooms and patience.
- End early enough that the return still feels calm.
